Sermon: Eph.3:20, “God Is Able”

Dear brothers and sisters in Christ,

Today, we will focus on Ephesians 3:20, which says, “Now to Him who is able to do far more abundantly beyond all that we ask or think, according to the power that works within us.”

These words remind us of the incredible power of God. Our God is not a small or powerless deity who is unable to accomplish great things. On the contrary, He is able to do far more abundantly beyond all that we could ever ask or think.

This is a powerful reminder for the Church today. As we face challenges and struggles in our lives and in the world around us, we need to remember that our God is able. He is able to heal the sick, provide for our needs, and bring peace to our troubled hearts.

But this verse also reminds us that God works through us. The power that works within us is the power of the Holy Spirit. When we allow the Holy Spirit to work in our lives, we become vessels through which God can do incredible things.

As members of the Church, we have a responsibility to allow the power of God to work through us. We are called to be the hands and feet of Jesus in the world, bringing His love and grace to those around us. We must be willing to step out in faith and allow God to use us in whatever way He sees fit.

But this is not always easy. We may feel overwhelmed by the challenges we face, or we may feel inadequate to do the work that God has called us to do. However, we must remember that it is not our own strength or ability that will accomplish great things. It is the power of God working through us.

As we look at the world around us, we see many challenges that seem insurmountable. Poverty, war, and injustice are just a few examples of the problems that face us today. But we must remember that our God is able to do far more abundantly beyond all that we ask or think.

As we come together as a Church, we have an opportunity to make a difference in the world. We can work together to bring God’s love and grace to those who are hurting, to feed the hungry, to provide shelter for the homeless, and to work for justice for all people.

But we must also remember that this work is not easy. It will require sacrifice, dedication, and hard work. We will face opposition, and there will be times when we feel discouraged. But we must keep our eyes fixed on Jesus, the author and perfecter of our faith, and trust that He will give us the strength and courage we need to carry on.

In conclusion, Ephesians 3:20 reminds us that our God is able to do far more abundantly beyond all that we ask or think. As members of the Church, we have a responsibility to allow the power of God to work through us to make a difference in the world. Let us be faithful to the calling that God has given us, trusting in His power and His love to guide us and sustain us as we work to bring about His kingdom on earth. Amen.
