Remedy for Hypocrisy

Realizing the horrible effect of hypocrisy in our life and society today, and acknowledging the fact that God’s desire for us is that we

live and serve Him and one another sincerely to His glory, it is pertinent that we seek the grace of God to remedy our situation.

Let’s therefore look at some of the things we must do to show this monster, this unwanted visitor, the thorn on our flesh – hypocrisy, the way out of our life.

Decide what the issues is.
1 Samuel 16:7 tell us that God looks on your heart, not on your performance. Our hearts are rotten to the core as we see in Jeremiah 17:9.

Our godliness depends upon changing our hearts as we see in Matthew 5:8 and 1 John 3:2. God’s goal is to change your heart as we

see in 1 Timothy 1:5 – Now the end of the commandment is love out of a pure
heart, good conscience and a faith that is not faked.

That is a good verse to memorized. Our job is to lay aside, and God’s job is to change as we see in 1 Peter 2:1.

Wherefore, laying aside all malice, envy and hypocrisy.

I want to pause for a minutes and say that God cannot change your heart, if you have never asked Jesus into it.

In a crowd this size or in the audience to tape – listeners, there might be someone who has been the ultimate in playacting spiritually.

You are pretending to be someone that you are not. Maybe you have never actually invited Jesus in your heart.

You may have been a Pastor, a Sunday school teacher or been baptized two to three times. You may be trying to live the Christian life

without Christ, and that is impossible. I want you to recognize that the ultimate in hypocrisy is to try to be a Christian without Christ.

Right now all you need to do is to acknowledge your hypocrisy before God and open the door to your heart. Your heart

desperately needs to be cleansed. Invite Christ to come into your heart.

We can pray for a transparent heart.
You may think that is my solution to everything but it is not my idea, it is God’s.

The Scriptures says simply that you have not because you ask not believe that if you really want a transparet heart, you need to go

before God and plead and pray and plead and pray. That is the only way you will ever get it.
You may wonder what God will do.

He may very well turn up the burner of germ warfare. The warfare between the old nature and the new nature may intensify in order to draw the dross out.

Things may be hotter than cooler. Things may get worse before they get better. Your hypocrisy may show up for what it really is.

But that is the way it works. What do you do when the heat intensifies and things get worse? You pray more.

You stay on your knees as an individual until God purifies your heart. We need to stay on our knees as a church until God purifies us as

a people until we are literally whole, transparent before God, before the world and before each other.

The reason you pray is to shift the burden to where it belongs. You cannot change your heart.

You may be able to change your behavior, but only God can change your heart. You are a doctor’s assistant. God is the doctor’s. But, God has a 100% cure rate. Let Him do the surgery.

We need to develop maximum exposure to the Word of God.
The Scripture tells us to lay aside all hypocrisy as new born babes and take after the Word of God as a baby takes after a bottle of milk.

We have all seen a new, hungry baby take after a bottle of milk like a hungry teenager

would take after after a plate of indomie. The scripture says that is the way we should be about the world of God.

It is supposed to go on the doorpost of our hearts. We are supposed to wake up in the morning saturating our life with the word.

How can a young man cleanse his ways? By taking heed thereto according to thy word.

Thy word I have hid in my heart that I might not sin against thee. Lay it on your heart. Saturate yourself with it until all you live, eat and breathe is the word of God.

Learn to identify and confess hypocrisy at it’s roots, not after it has already done it’s damage.

Devote some time each day to realizing that the more transparent you become, the more accepted you are. The more accepted you are, and be honest that this is what you are really

looking for,the happier you will be. Every one of us wants to be accepted. The best way to be accepted is to become 100% transparent, up front with God, with yourself and with others.

Leaders and those in authority must begin to reward honestly, sincerity, and hard work. They must shun and punish sycophacy and hypocrisy.

Therefore Let’s ask ourselves one more time, what is hypocrisy?

It is a spiritual cancer that destroys a Christian from the inside out. It is a spiritual hardening of the arteries. It is a thorn of our flesh.

It destroys our testimonies and our leadership. It takes away our joy. It impedes our conscience.

It take our peace. Most of all, it breaks the heart of God. And so separates us from our maker. It prepares us for eternal damnation.

All around us is the effect of hypocrisy. Many lives are shartered by this monster. The church has been weakend by it. Nations are being suffocated by it.

The future of our children is up in the air due to hypocrisy. But there is hope only in he who lived among the heat of hypocrisy, but never

compromised even Jesus the Christ. Therefore we call on this massage to rise and with one voice condemn you this monster. We

call on the church and every Christian to reject this evil for which our Lord and savior died. We call on the leaders of our nations to

stop recruiting and appointing sycophants into positions of responsibility, rather to reward honesty, sincerity and hard work. We

call on all to join hands that we may pull out this thorn from our personal, familly, political and national life.

So that a new flesh of peace, love , unity, security, progress, Justice and equity may grow to the glory of God,and to the joy of us all.

Shalom….
