Jesus was not the victim of circumstances. He was the arranger of them. He had the fore knowledge of every event, including Judas’ betrayal, the high priest’s hypocrisy
and Peter’s denial; simply for what the prophets wrote could be fulfilled; God gave Jesus power over all things including the five dreadful Ds’:
1. Death -John 11:43,44
when he had said this, Jesus called in a loud voice, “Lazarus, come out” the dead man came out, his hands and feet wrapped with
strips of linen and a clothes around the face. Jesus said to them, “take off the grave clothes and let him go.
Jesus by this miracle conquered death.
2. Demons – Mark 1 verse 23 to 27
just then a man in their synagogue who was possessed by an evil spirit cried out, what do you want with us, Jesus of Nazareth? Have you come to destroy us? I know who you are – the holy one of God!
Be quiet! said Jesus sternly, ‘come out of him” The evil spirit shook the man violently and came out of him with a Shriek, the
people were also amazed that they asked each other, “what is this? a new teaching – and with authority. He even gives orders to evil spirit and they obey him.
3. Disasters – mark 4 vs 37 to 39
A furious squall came up, and the Waves broke over the boat so that it was nearly swamped. Jesus was in the sten, sleeping on a cushion.
The disciples woke him and said to him, teacher, don’t you care if we drown? He got up, rebuke the wind and said to the waves; “A! Be still! Then the wind died down and it was completely calm.
4. Disease – Mark 1 verse 40 to 42
Aman with leprosy came to him and begged him on his knees, if you are willing, you can make me clean.
Filled with compassion, Jesus reached out his hands and touched the man. “I am willing,” he said, “Be clean!” immediately the leprosy left him and he was cured.
5. Dominion’s – Ephesians 1 verse 21
Far above all rule and authority, power and Dominion, and every title that can be given, not only in the present age but also in the
world to come”. Jesus Christ has dominion over all. All knees bow in His sight; all tougues confess at his Name.
He has been empowered and there is no other authority above His for God the Father has given to him all authority in heaven and earth.
