When you enter his presence with praise, he enters your circumstances with power.
psalm.98:1-9
1 Sing to the Lord a new song,
for he has done marvelous things;
his right hand and his holy arm
have worked salvation for him.
2 The Lord has made his salvation known
and revealed his righteousness to the nations.
3 He has remembered his love
and his faithfulness to Israel;
all the ends of the earth have seen
the salvation of our God.
4 Shout for joy to the Lord, all the earth,
burst into jubilant song with music;
5 make music to the Lord with the harp,
with the harp and the sound of singing,
6 with trumpets and the blast of the ram’s horn—
shout for joy before the Lord, the King.
7 Let the sea resound, and everything in it,
the world, and all who live in it.
8 Let the rivers clap their hands,
let the mountains sing together for joy;
9 let them sing before the Lord,
for he comes to judge the earth.
He will judge the world in righteousness
and the peoples with equity.
This is one of the Messianic Psalms. We had a new song before (psalm 96 verses 1-13) because the Lord Jesus was coming, but now we have another new song because he has come, and sing and conquered.
Jesus, our king, was born in a marvelous birth, He lived a marvelous life, died a marvelous death, risen by a marvelous resurrection, and ascended marvelously into heaven.
By His Divine power He has sent forth the Holy Spirit doing marvelous things in the life of the believer.
You shall sing new song, because, idols have fallen, superstitions have weithered, systems of error have fled and empire of cruelty have parish.
For all these, he deserves the highest praise. We saw from the palm that His acts have proven His Deity, Jesus is Jehovah and therefore will sing unto him as the Lord, “His
right hand, and His Holy arm, hath gotten him the victory”; not by the aid of others, but
by His own unweaponed hand, His marvelous conquest have been achieved. This is the kind of victory you will see this year.
PRAYER
Lord Jesus, may your salvation, your righteousness and your victory be openly shown to the unbelievers through our life. Amen
